Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Have you ever found yourself:

  • At a cross road and not knowing which direction to take?
  • Wanting to make changes in your life, but not knowing how to?
  • Not being able to make a decision for fear of being hurt or getting someone else hurt?
  • Not being able to control your urges or cravings?
  • Not being able to express yourself because you think that no one will listen?
  • Not understanding/accepting other people ways. Often using “my way or the highway”?
  • Not being able to resolve issues in a safe manner?

The list could go on for ever...

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy helps you to:

  • Look at your lifestyle balance, and assess areas you need to work on. Looking at family life, thought patterns, physical health, and spiritual health
  • Learn that thoughts lead to action and that each action has consequences
  • Realise that life is to be enjoyed not endured
  • Accept our differences. In other word, there is nothing wrong in agreeing to disagree.
  • Communicate with others in a positive manner.
  • Recognise the right path
  • Fill up your tool kit with various tools to solve problems/issues
  • Identify what stops you
  • Accept that if it ain’t broken don’t fix it
  • Develop realistic strategies to deal with issues in a safe manner
  • Respect others and be respected

At the end of it all you will have learned:

  • To make the changes in your life that you want to
  • To be part of a solution rather than being part of a problem
  • Resolve issues in a safe manner
  • To accept yourself as you are and accept others as they are. Be comfortable with being different
  • The issues are not with others but with yourself
  • To take responsibility for your actions
  • To be proud of whom you are. No one is perfect.
